Athlete of the Week: Sean Cleary

St. John’s Molson Senior Men’s Softball League pitcher Sean Cleary is The Telegram Sports Department’s choice as Athlete of the Week.

Cleary helped lead his Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs to the championship in the 37th Annual St. John’s Day Senior Men’s Softball Tournament last weekend.

He was named the Tournament MVP after going 3-0 on the mound, with a 0.67 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 21 innings.

Cleary will be pitching for Canada at the World Championship starting early next month in Whitehorse, Yukon.
