All senior teams to submit a fifteen man protected list prior to opening day. Players not included on the protected list are considered free agents.

3. INTERMEDIATE ELIGIBILITY

A player who is on a senior team’s protected list and looking to play both divisions on a full time basis must be approved by the five man committee appointed. The members are as follows: John Farrell, Mark Dwyer, Joey Maynard, Jason Hill & Bill Barron. NOTE: This does not apply to junior eligible players.

4. 2013 BAT LIST

The amendments as outlined in Keith Pender’s e-mail of March 26, 2013 was approved for the 2013 Season.

A bat, made of one-piece construction, stamped with an ASA Logo, does not exceed 98mph, free of burrs or flat spots, and is on the approved ASA bat list, is approved for all adult categories.

Notes:
a) Bats used for play will be visually inspected at the beginning of each game.
b) A bat used for play in league, tournament or provincial play that is deemed necessary for further inspection must pass though an official bat ring when inspection by the umpire.
c) A bat may be inspected at any time during the game.

Exceptions:
1. Bats on the ASA non-approved bat list are illegal and shall not be used in league, tournament, or provincial play. Discovery of a bat used by a player in a game from the non-approved bat list will result in an out, an immediate ejection from the game and an additional suspension for one game.
2. The bat shall not have an outer-sleeve on the barrel (2 piece construction - found on some models made by Demarini and Worth). The rationale is due to safety reasons. The cold climate of our softball season causes the metals to contract at various temperatures making the bat vulnerable to breakage between the handle and barrel assembly. Use of this bat by player will be considered illegal.

Sincerely,
Keith Pender
